Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer an initial free telephone discussion?
Yes. Please feel free to contact me to arrange a telephone call to discuss your needs and ask any questions you may have, free of charge, and with no obligation to book a session.
How long do counselling and psychotherapy sessions last?
Sessions last 50 minutes, the standard length within the profession.
How many sessions might I need?
There is no expectation or commitment to any number of sessions. It is very much up to you and the progress you feel you are making. It is something we would keep under regular review. I offer both short and long term therapy, and you are of course free to complete therapy at any time that is right for you.
How frequently will I need to have sessions?
Again, that very much depends the nature of the issue and your unique personal circumstances. However, many people benefit from weekly or fortnightly sessions at first and gradually increase the length of time between sessions as they progress.
Do you offer telephone counselling sessions?
Yes. I have completed specialist telephone counselling training in order to provide this service, where appropriate.
What is the cost of a session?
A session fee is £50. Any initial telephone discussion is free of charge.
